 Our approach to learning
OUM uses intensive problem-based learning (PBL), presenting and integrating basic sciences and clinical content in a case study format. Like all medical schools, OUM students spend their first two years studying basic sciences. MORE

 Accreditation & Official Designations
Oceania University of Medicine is a young medical school, still amid its accreditation process. Most international accrediting bodies require that schools be in operation for a certain number of years and hold at least one graduation ceremony before new schools can apply for accreditation. In 2007, shortly after the school graduated its second group of physicians, OUM was awarded "official applicant status" MORE

Samoa is a peaceful country of warm and friendly people who gained their independence from New Zealand some 40 years ago.
