Introduction to the Oceania University of Medicine Electronic Library

The OUM eLibrary and its services are largely electronic to ensure worldwide support for OUM’s distributed students and staff.
The electronic resources are always accessible from any computer with an internet connection. The library staff, in Melbourne Australia, are available for assistance during their local office hours (Australian Eastern Time).

Through the eLibrary Resource Catalog we provide access to a wide range of electronic information, such as:
• Basic reference materials (including Dictionaries and Encyclopedias)
• Medical News services
• Full text ebooks
• Full text ejournals including articles relevant to the OUM curriculum
• Clinical practice guidelines
• Web sites featuring images, sounds, videos and other multimedia files
• Resource discovery tools (such as search engines and journal indexes)

Resources have been selected to support OUM course work and to encourage individual research on medical topics.

Take the Information Literacy Tutorial to improve your research skills, select from the menu above or browse the
site map
for an overview of the services we offer.
