As examples of the high quality journal literature that can be found on the internet, here are links to the flagship journals of some country's medical associations.

1. British Medical Journal
The BMJ provides free access to original research articles, and full-text of all other articles in the print journal are freely available online for the first week after publication and then under subscription/purchase controls for the next 51 weeks. After one year all content is once again free.

2. Medical Journal of Australia
All articles from the print version are available. In addition, rapid online publication of topical information often appears before the print issue appears.

3. Journal of the American Medical Association
Full text access to original research articles, review articles, special communications, and editorials from 6 months to 5 years after publication. Outside this timeframe access is by subscription only.

4. Canadian Medical Association Journal
