Journals
As examples of the high quality journal literature that can be found
on the internet, here are links to the flagship journals of some country's
medical associations.
1. British Medical Journal
The BMJ provides free access to original research articles, and full-text
of all other articles in the print journal are freely available online
for the first week after publication and then under subscription/purchase
controls for the next 51 weeks. After one year all content is once
again free.
2. Medical Journal of Australia
All articles from the print version are available. In addition, rapid
online publication of topical information often appears before the
print issue appears.
3. Journal of the American Medical Association
Full text access to original research articles, review articles, special
communications, and editorials from 6 months to 5 years after publication.
Outside this timeframe access is by subscription only.
4. Canadian Medical Association Journal
eCMAJ contains the complete editorial contents of CMAJ, supplemented
by a variety of interactive features and additional content. The journal
access is entirely free, without registration requirements.
