Many organizations publish their documents both in print and online. Here are examples of materials that in the past would only have been available in print, but now can be read online from anywhere in the world.

1. World Health Report
An annual report from the World Health Organization, it can be found online chapter by chapter or the entire report is available as a single Portable Document Format (pdf) file. Each year the report combines an expert assessment of global health, including statistics relating to all countries, with a focus on a specific subject.

2. The Merck Manuals Online Medical Library
is an extensive online book that explains disorders, who is likely to get them, their symptoms, how they're diagnosed, how they might be prevented, and how they can be treated; also provides information about prognosis.
